The flange globe valve belongs to the forced sealing type valve, so when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the valve disc to force the sealing surface not to leak. When the medium enters valve 6 from below the valve disc, the resistance that needs to be overcome by the operating force is the friction force between the valve stem and packing and the thrust generated by the pressure of the medium. The force to close the valve is greater than the force to open the valve, so the diameter of the valve stem should be larger, otherwise the failure of the valve stem top bending will occur. The flange globe valve is easy to operate, and the threaded seat ring is easy to access for maintenance or replacement. The packing swing bolts on most valves simplify the replacement of the packing. All bolted valve cover structures make disassembly faster.
The types of flange globe valves are divided into external thread type and internal thread type according to the position of the valve stem thread. According to the flow direction of the medium, there are through type, direct current type, and angle type. Globe valves are divided into packing sealed globe valves and bellows sealed globe valves according to their sealing forms.
Among the types of globe valves, not only flange globe valves are produced, but also low-temperature globe valves are being studied by technical personnel in many domestic valve manufacturers to further improve their shortcomings.
